The Nonsense Experiment

I woke up this morning with some pretty weird looking bed hair so I decided to take a picture and vector it :)

The Nightmare Before Christmas party on Christmas Eve (best theme for a Christmas Eve party ever!!!)  was really fun and my friend dressed up as The Joker.  I have spent the previous 2 days working on this picture of him while watching The Office.   I need to get out more.  Overall I’m pretty happy with the way that it turned out. 

I decided to make a president fish.  I think he looks like he’d have some good policies :) 

For Halloween I dressed up as Charlie Chaplin.  I just had a bit of fun changing the picture.  Ironically, the only thing that didn’t work with the costume was my really long hair and a week after Halloween I cut it really short! 

I’ve been running a bit short on cash lately so I decided to create a compilation CD of all obscure but awesome Amy Winehouse songs for my dad.  The picture below is what I quickly made for the album cover.  Whenever I use photoshop I always go for the Andy Warhol-esque effects and I know they’re completely unoriginal and overused but it’s still a lot of fun to do :) 

This year I really wanted to have a Christmas Eve party with a theme.  I pretty much thought of the best theme possible: The Nightmare Before Christmas!  Everyone’s going to dress up all Tim Burton-Character-Like and there will be a black Christmas tree with red decorations.  In the spirit of this theme I tried my hand at drawing again and I came up with the following 4 pictures.  They’re a bit amateurish but I think it’s a reasonable start.   

I got some of my art works printed as photos today.  I was especially happy with the one of Henry and Pingu.  It looks like they’re a comedy duo and Henry’s saying “Oh Pingu! What will you do next?”

Hello again.  Since writing my 1st post some strange things have happened.  Firstly, my house was robbed and the car, guitar, 2 wallets, 2 phones and a $30 itunes voucher were taken.  I was given the itunes as a present and I never intended on using it but still!  A little pissed with humanity right now.  Anyway, I’m putting up a picture of Guitar Man, Super Power = Confusion!  I’d like to do more like this but I can’t think of superheroes that don’t already exist yet.  Let me know if you think of a superhero that would be fun to photoshop it up with :) 

I’ll just start with a quick post.  Today was pretty much the first day of my summer holidays and I was given salmon socks.  When I photo my feet I’ll definitely put up the picture.  For now I’ll be posting today’s effort in photoshop.  I worked on this piece while listening to Bjork’s ‘Army of Me’ on repeat.  Don’t know if I’ll sleep well tonight.
